Here, Polished Artificial Grass installed a 35mm spring back artificial grass over pre-existing wooden decking which was raised and took up the majority of this back garden in Leeds. The customers explained that their main problem with the decking was that it needed re-staining regularly, and they had in fact stained it three times over the past three years!

The continuing discolouring of the decking ultimately meant it was no less maintenance than a lawn! Also, in the wet the decking became very slippy and was often quite dangerous.

No short cuts are taken when installing artificial grass over decking. We put 10mm underlay down first to give that soft spongy feel under foot. Next, we lay the artificial grass over the top, before stapling it down around the edges so the grass can be taken up in the future should it be required.
